Our story starts back in 1999 with a small, two person operation selling security screws and access control from a garden shed in Radcliffe. Having come on board in 2010, fellow Director Gwyn Ewens and I bought out the business outright in 2015, bringing a combined 40 years' experience in the fields of security, safety and signs and transformed the business to the one stop safety, security and signs business it is today.
Although we are primarily an online business, we do our best not to come over as a faceless organisation. We try to combine the convenience and value of shopping online, with the customer service of a friendly traditional high street shop. Designed to prevent accidental and malicious false fire alarms, SSP's Direct range of call point covers, break glass covers and push button covers are ideal for use in schools, colleges, nursing and care homes, hospitals and shopping centres. Our best selling standard covers are to protect against passers-by accidentally knocking the alarm buttons.

SSP Direct have been heavily involved in the supply of standard and personalised visitor pass systems for many years, providing visitor and contractor systems for schools, colleges, businesses and the other organisations up and down the UK. All of the standard pass systems and ancillary products shown in this section are available from stock.
Security Screws & Fixings

If the answer is yes, you will need to purchase a two-way security screw along with a driver insert or socket. Although SSP Direct do a number of two-way fixings, including tri-head screws, oval pan machine screws and Kinmar machine bolts, the three most extensive range of fixings are available as snake eye screws (aka Pig nose or two way screws), pin hex fixings and pin torx screws.
Tapes & Foam Protection

To combat the injuries to both staff and visitors, SSP offer our best selling range of impact protection products. This cushioned, water-tight foam can be affixed using either a self adhesive backing and a magnetic strip (both type available as standard). We also offer a surface impact protection product that can be affixed by screws.
Anti-Slip Tapes

Over recent years, SSP Direct have significantly developed our range of anti-slip tapes. Starting of with standard anti slip tapes of different widths and anti slip matting, we have recently added conformable anti slip strips on a roll and anti-slip treads for use on uneven surfaces like checker plates.
