We couldn't be prouder of being in one of the most glorious spots overlooking the sea above Cley and Blakeney in North Norfolk. We make the finest pork pies in a beautiful converted flint hay barn, which has beams, a red tiled roof and a sheltered walled garden courtyard. The flint-walled office leads into the bakery (with its old bread oven), which leads in to the pie makery, so we all move between tasks as the day demands.
We relish using local seasonal ingredients, foraging for wild garlic in spring and sourcing apples from the Sandringham Estate, further along the coast, in autumn. Windowsills and desks in the office often have posies of flowers found on lunchtime walks along the network of paths around the woods, and beside the chalk streams and farmland of the estate.

The pies

But what is it that makes our pies so unique? Obviously, it's a combination of many things but ultimately it's just one big thing: our own love of really great food. Because without that we simply wouldn't go to the lengths that we do. Take, for instance, our meat. We use only the very best pork from outdoor and lovingly reared (in North Norfolk) pigs.
Cooking Instructions

1 Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (Gas mark 6 or 400F). Tip - Beware - oven thermostats do vary a lot, but you'll probably know if yours runs very hot and adjust accordingly. 2 No need to defrost - you are cooking it from frozen, in the foil dish. Tip - It's best to put some foil or greaseproof paper under the pie on a baking tray - it makes washing up much easier.
