Our story began in 1973 but the history of the world famous Jewellery Quarter, home of jewellery making goes way back. A survey of 1553 named one of the first goldsmiths of Birmingham, Roger Pemberton. During the 18th and 19th centuries, Birmingham prospered from the Industrial Revolution and developed into a large industrial town, manufacturing a vast range of products.

The GIA's colour grading scale for diamonds is the industry standard. The scale begins with the letter D, representing colourless (white) and continues with increasing presence of colour to the letter Z. Diamond clarity refers to the absence of natural inclusions and blemishes. Diamonds are assigned a clarity grade that ranges from flawless (FL) to diamonds with obvious inclusions (I3).
