Nina qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and spent eight years in private practice, latterly as the Partner in charge of the franchising unit at Stones Porter solicitors in the City. She then joined Pannell Kerr Forster Management Consultants, where she became Director and Head of Franchise and Licensing Services.

Vicki Mitman

Report

Vicki Mitman qualified as a solicitor in 2011, initially working with a specialist franchise firm and later joining a large regional firm to assist with the development of their franchise offering, which provided an opportunity for her to work with a wide variety of franchise and corporate clients.

As qualified solicitors specialising solely in franchising, Nina and Vicki are able to assist in the preparation of all legal documentation required to operate as a business format franchise to include Confidentiality Agreements, Franchise Agreements as well as Master Franchise Agreements and Area Developer Agreements for international development.

The principal service offered to potential franchisees is a comprehensive report on the franchise agreement provided by the franchisor. Invariably, this will be in standard form and not subject to negotiation but Nina will outline your key responsibilities under the agreement highlighting anything which is unusual or, just as important, what may be missing, together with areas for clarification with the franchisor.

Nina Moran-Watson offers competitive rates for all work undertaken and has a policy of agreeing the entire project fees in advance so that there are no 'nasty' surprises when the work concludes. This will include a fixed quote for preparing legal documentation, payable half on instruction and half on completion.
