Services
Day Nursery
Our day nursery provides full-time care for children aged 0-5 years, focusing on individual development through structured play and outdoor exploration. With smaller group sizes, we ensure personalised attention that supports emotional growth and educational progress. The nursery's design incorporates both indoor learning spaces and direct access to extensive outdoor environments.
Forest School Program
This program integrates Forest School teaching methods with the Early Years Foundation Stage, enabling children to learn through nature. Daily woodland walks and outdoor activities promote physical development, environmental awareness, and creative problem-solving in a natural setting across 65 acres of diverse terrain.
Preschool Education
Our preschool curriculum prepares children for formal schooling through play-based learning that covers all seven EYFS areas. Specialised resources and trained practitioners deliver age-appropriate activities that develop literacy, numeracy, and social skills while maintaining strong links with outdoor exploration.
Outdoor Learning
Children engage in year-round outdoor learning across woodland trails, open fields, and sports areas. This approach develops physical coordination, risk assessment skills, and environmental stewardship through hands-on experiences with natural materials and seasonal changes.
Childcare Funding
We administer government-funded childcare places for eligible families, making quality early education accessible. Our team helps parents navigate funding options while maintaining the same high standards of care and educational provision for all children regardless of funding status.

Our daughter has been at Might Oaks for a couple of months. She absolutely loves it. It's a family run nursery, they really do work very hard to make the kids feel loved and secure. They do trips out to the local woodland. They communicate regularly with parents, and provide updates of my daughters progress. Couldn't recommend more highly!

This nursery has been amazing! We moved area and I found this place! Best thing that has ever happened to us! At my daughters previous nursery she was very quiet and didnt want to go in the morning now I have to fight to get my daughter to sleep the day before she attend mighty oaks. They have done wonders for her confidence and she mixes with the other children! The staff are amazing and do everything within their power to help!

My little girl was so shy and hesitant to be left without me when she first started nursery but the staff at the nursery were so lovely and supportive it made the experience much more bearable. She has now grown in confidence and loves going to pre-school and seeing all her friends and 'teachers'. The staff are friendly, helpful and you can just tell the kids love and respect their 'teachers'. I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other parents.

Both my boys have attended Chapel Gate and now Mighty Oaks over the past 4 years. It is a very well run nursery, the staff are professional, friendly and great with the kids and i have had excellent support with my younger son who has speech and language difficulties. They have great activities every day and my sons especially enjoy their outdoor adventures in the wood and grounds. I have always felt happy to drop my boys off at this nursery and would recommend to anyone considering to go and visit them and judge for yourself.

I have two children that attend this nursery and my eldest has done for the past 2.5 years. It is a fantastic place with many and exciting opportunities for my boys to explore, learn and develop their life skills. The staff are fantastic - nurturing, attentive and caring. The setting itself offers the best of early years learning, forest school opportunities and Montessori principles. I have seen it change a lot over the years and I can truly say that my boys love it here and I could not be more happier with their care and support that they receive on a daily basis. We chose Mighty Oaks for our 13 month old baby due to its amazing setting, facilities and staff. The nursery has been refurbished to a really high standard and everyone is so friendly and offers my daughter the best support. In the time she has been there she has flourished and we love receiving the pictures and videos of what adventures she's been up to that day. The negative comments online are completely unfounded and left by internet trolls who have never stepped foot in the place and dont know the facts. You only have to ask a parent whose child attends now to know it is a fantastic nursery
