The business was first established in 1976 by Terry Mountstephens, having served his apprenticeship on site at the Hinkley Point construction project. Terry saw an opportunity for a reliable and hard working firm to make a name for itself in the Somerset area. In the early days Terry first called around personally to local businesses in the Taunton and Wellington area to offer his services.
From those early contacts we have gone on to establish ourselves as a reputable and capable electrical contracting company serving and supporting businesses throughout the county and beyond. We continue to be a family run business that is proud of its reputation and the work we produce. Andrew Mountstephens (Terry's son) joined the company in 2008 as an apprentice and is now a qualified electrician and Director of Mountstephens Electrical Ltd.
