Driving lessons from The Driving Training Centre (The DTC) are delivered by fully qualified and Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) registered with the DVSA, we teach both manual and automatic driving lessons, we are based in Edinburgh, but have Driving Instructors covering Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Currie and many more areas in between (see our map of the areas we cover).
We have both male and female Driving Instructors teaching driving lessons in modern reliable cars. Each and every driving lesson is tailored to your individual need, ensuring that progress is made to get you ready for your practical driving test and most importantly, ensure that you are ready for whatever situation arises when you pass.

The DTC believes that teaching you to drive is also about teaching you to be safe. All the pupils who have learnt to drive with The DTC and have passed the driving test have been highly trained to deal with any situation they may face on the road. Our driving instructors are patient; our teaching methods are modern and logical.
Become An Instructor

Our course covers all 3 aspects of the training. Part 1 - Theory training: 12 hours in total which is done over approx. 2 weeks. This includes a 2 part Theory course and course material. Part 2 - Driving ability Training: 20 hours in total which is done over 4 or 5 weeks. This training is flexible and includes training in our cars- amount varies depending on ability.
