Rainbow Room
Report
We are Sandy Lane's designated provision for children with a range of complex and additional learning needs, between the ages of two and four years. Children who attend Rainbow Room have been referred from the Child Development Centre to our Outreach team. Our sensory-stimulating environment is accessible by all children, and is carefully tailored to meet the needs of each individual child.
Sunshine Room
Report
Sunshine Room is our provision for children who are eligible for government funding for two year olds. Here children make an early start on their education and prepare for their time in nursery. Sunshine Room is a small room, filled with big adventures. Our environment is calm, homely and welcoming, full of irresistible opportunities for the children to explore, both indoors and outdoors.
Garden Room
Report
Garden Room is our mainstream classroom which offers provision for 52 three to four year old children. The environment is rich, airy and inviting, with high quality resources which are accessible at all times. Children attend on a part-time basis of either five morning or five afternoon sessions per week.
Meet the Governors
Report
What is the purpose of the governing body? The school governors have responsibility for guiding the school in its aims and for overseeing the budget which has been allocated by the Borough Council. We do this by maintaining close contact with the headteacher and working with the staff to ensure that, as far as possible and practicable, they all have the facilities and resources needed to do their jobs effectively.
