Stayed for two nights. Very welcoming. Perfect location for a walk up the fells or a lake or waterfall walk. Spacious room. Hot shower and nice breakfast. Bar and sofas by a fire. Slept very well. Close to patterdale for a leg stretch and pint. Would stay here again and recommend.

Stayed here for one night whilst completing the coast to coast. The location rooms and breakfast were very good. The hosts were lovely and very informative, about the next section of our route.

It felt like a miracle coming across this place as we walked around Patterdale. The White Lion pub down from here didnt accept card payments but the Old Water View saved the day! We enjoyed two lovely, refreshingly cold pints in the beautiful garden. They also serve jacket potatoes and baguettes.

The Old Water View is perfect for walkers especially the C2C. Great bar, spacious room excellent drying facilities. The Wainwright history fascinating.

A very nice stay on our Coast to Coast walk. A lovely setting with a nice, clean room. The dry room for our soaking walking bits and bobs was fabulous. Accomodating host who provided us with an ice pack. Breakfast was good enough but perhaps slightly stingy on the pick 5 items.
