Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy here at First Steps Nursery focuses on incorporating the Early Years Foundation Stage, alongside a child centred approach to learning. We aim to create a welcoming, calm and nurturing environment in which the children have the freedom to learn, play and explore. Provide excellence in care for children age between 3 months and 5 years by ensuring that standards set throughout the establishment are always at the highest level.
About our nursery

Acorns We call this room 'Acorns' because this is where the seeds are planted for our children to grow and prosper. Our Acorns room is a large, beautiful space packed with opportunities to explore and investigate the world. In here, babies from 3 months up to around 2 years old get the opportunity to engage.

Oaks Room

Just as the seeds are planted in our Acorns Room, in Oaks our children grow big, strong and independent. Environment is said to be the third teacher in early years development; we have embraced this thought and designed Oaks room to stimulate and challenge young minds as well as just being great fun.
Our Garden
Report
We have a lovely garden located at the front of the nursery which is accessible for all children. The positing of the garden allows easy free-flow opportunities for the children to play outside as they wish. The garden has different areas for the children to explore and use their imagination. We have a digging area, water station, book corner and much more.
