
Holy Cross is a proud, happy and culturally diverse one form entry Catholic primary school located in the town center of St Helens. We have over 180 wonderful children from Nursery to Year 6 in our school family, where Christ is at the center of all that we do. Our children are extremely welcoming to new children and will help them settle quickly in to our school family and school life.

Holy Cross is a one form entry Catholic primary school centrally located in St. Helens. At Holy Cross we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing family atmosphere, where our children are given opportunities to grow as a whole person. History
Report
An awareness of, and interest in, the cultural richness which surrounds them at Holy Cross and a fascination with the diverse world which surrounds them. A strong knowledge and understanding of chronology, knowing the time between their units and where their unit of study fits on a timeline. The ability to research and question the reliability of sources.
Year 1
Report
Working in Year 1 this year will be Mrs Birch and Mrs Brown. Homework will be uploaded to SeeSaw each Friday. If you would prefer a paper copy then please speak to either Mrs Birch or Mrs Brown. Homework will include a piece of Maths work, a phonic activity, weekly spellings and weekly reading. Children are expected to read daily with an adult, with at least one session being recorded in their reading diary.
Year 3
Report
Mrs Kettle is our class teacher and Mrs Bowan is our class teaching assistant. You can find information about our exciting year ahead in the curriculum area of our website, and we hope you enjoy looking at looking at our learning experiences this year! Our PE days this term are Monday and Tuesday - please come to school wearing school PE kit.
Year 4
Report
Homework will be uploaded to Seesaw every Friday. Paper copies will be available to those children who need them. Homework should be completed for the following Wednesday. Homework consists of a piece of Maths, a piece of writing or a reading task and spellings. Children are expected to read their school reading book daily to an adult and record this is their reading diary.
