Welcome to Hamersay Hotel. We are a family-run business with over 16 years of experience in hospitality management. In 2008, we relocated from Scotland's east coast to the Western Isles, initially operating Lochmaddy Hotel before leasing Hamersay House in 2022. Following a comprehensive refurbishment programme since our purchase in February 2024, we now offer eight modern en-suite rooms, a restaurant serving locally sourced cuisine, and event hosting facilities.Our dedicated team, including hospitality professionals with naval and engineering backgrounds, ensures guests experience authentic Hebridean hospitality. Strategically located near Lochmaddy's ferry port, we provide ideal accommodation for exploring the Outer Hebrides' natural and cultural attractions while maintaining our commitment to quality through continuous property improvements.

Our eight modern en-suite rooms combine comfort with island charm. Three twin and five double rooms feature contemporary amenities including free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and hospitality trays. Recently refurbished interiors maintain traditional character while offering blackout curtains and premium bedding for restful stays. Each room provides easy access to our dining and leisure facilities.

Our award-winning restaurant showcases Hebridean cuisine through seasonal menus. Locally sourced seafood, island-reared meats, and fresh produce feature in dishes prepared by experienced chefs. The intimate dining space accommodates 30 guests, with bar and lounge options available. Special dietary requirements are accommodated with advance notice, and daily specials reflect market availability.
Event Hosting
We specialise in intimate celebrations from family reunions to milestone birthdays. Flexible event spaces include our restaurant and lounge areas, accommodating various group sizes. Comprehensive packages include accommodation, catering, and venue hire. Snooker Room
A full-size snooker table provides traditional entertainment for guests. The room may be booked hourly through advance reservations via email or telephone. This facility complements our bar services, offering a relaxed environment for evening games while enjoying local beverages.
