Little Gems Day Nursery is located in a quiet residential location with local travel links available including Lewisham, New Cross and Brockley Railway stations. We are also are local to Goldsmiths University and Lewisham College. We have places available for the free entitlement for 3 & 4 years old for 15 hours per week.
We have 3 trips per year to farms, the zoo, the seaside, a range of museums, adventure parks etc. Parents/carers have the chance to get involved in their child's learning in our planned open mornings. Our nursery is located on the boarders of Brockley and New Cross within the borough of Lewisham. We are also are local to Goldsmiths University and Lewisham College. Little Gems Day Nursery was first established in 1996 and was an 18 place setting catering for children aged 2-5 years.
In 2000 due to high demand for baby places we acquired another building which took us to a 50 place setting and in 2003 we continued to expand to a 93 place setting catering for children aged 3 months - 5 years.

We are extremely proud of the quality of care we can offer your child. We consider learning to begin at birth and we promise to nurture a love of learning in your child that will stay with them long after they have moved on from Little Gems Day Nursery. We aim to maintain a calming and comfortable environment that will act as a child's home from home and help them to develop a strong sense of belonging within the nursery.

Little Gems is dedicated to making sure that your toddler has excitement and fun to help them enjoy their time with us. As learning becomes a natural part of their everyday life at Little Gems Day Nursery your toddler will be in a stimulating environment with 1 carer to every 4 toddlers.
We have created an imaginative approach to play and activities which is ideal for 2 to 3 year olds; helping them to explore, discover and master new skills for their age range.This approach reflects how your toddler begins to make sense of the world around them in amusing and exciting ways and helps to teach your toddler new language and communication skills.

Pre-school

By the age of 3 years children have developed good spoken language skills and use these to think about what they are doing as they play, whilst asking many questions about what they are doing or seeing. With this group we take a Reasoning Approach which helps our 3 to 5 year olds find out information and solutions to problems as they play in our family friendly facilities.
