Our routine equine dental care includes thorough oral examinations using wireless oroscope cameras, controlled rasping of sharp points, and early detection of cavities or developmental irregularities. We provide preventative care advice and immediate treatment for minor issues during sedated appointments. All procedures prioritise horse comfort through modern motorised instruments and padded head supports, with transparent owner communication via real-time imaging.

Advanced Dentistry

We perform complex equine dental treatments including oral extractions, periodontal disease management, and minimally invasive sinus surgeries under standing sedation. Our capabilities extend to endodontic therapy, orthodontic corrections, and maxillofacial surgery using advanced imaging like CT scans. With 300-500 annual advanced cases, we've eliminated general anaesthesia requirements since 2012 through innovative techniques developed in collaboration with human dentists.

Pre-Purchase Examination

Our pre-purchase dental evaluations use oral endoscopy to detect hidden pathology in horses prior to sale. This service includes sedation, comprehensive mouth examination with imaging, and detailed reporting. Priced at 120 plus regional fees, it helps buyers identify potential dental issues that horses often mask through adaptive eating behaviours, preventing post-purchase complications.

CPD Training

Our Key Skills CPD Series offers specialist equine dental training for veterinarians and EDTs. The four-course program covers routine dentistry to advanced extractions, with practical sessions led by Diplomate-level tutors. Participants gain access to reduced-price equipment and earn CertAVP (Equine Dentistry) credits, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in modern techniques.

Referral Services

We accept referrals for complex equine dental cases from veterinarians and EDTs across the UK and Europe. Our services include advanced imaging diagnostics, minimally invasive surgical treatments, and collaborative care planning. The service provided by the highly skilled Equine Dental Clinic is second to none. You know youre getting the best dental treatment in the country!
Horses are sedated and thorough examinations take place. My mini Shetland had her routine check and a hole was discovered. This could have been easily missed, if the pony was not sedated and stood still. She went into the clinic yesterday. After X-rays to determine whether a filling or tooth removal should happen, it was good news to hear it was only a filling. Due to Covid-19 I was unable to be there and watch what was happening, but I was kept

I cannot reccomenend the clinic enough. The team offer the highest quality service to your horse and are kind and caring to both horse and customer. My pony's dental issues were identified by Victoria Hammond EDT who I also highly reccomenend. Victoria referred us straight to the clinic. Sadly the large diastema was not identified to me by our general vet which led to an extraction and nasty nasal infection. I can't thank the clinic or EDT enough.

Thank you to Chris Pearce and his team for helping my horse. He had suffered contact, behaviour and weight issues. Although he had regularly had his teeth rasped by a local vet nothing had been noticed or commented on. Upon camera investigation by Chris it showed he had a deep cavity requiring a filling. What a transformation! Happy horse! happy owner! happy rider! Highly recommend Chris and his staff.
