LOLER 1998 places duties on those who own, operate or control lifting equipment, including where employees use such equipment. We ensure equipment is fit for purpose, clearly marked, and subject to periodic thorough examination. Our engineer surveyors help businesses remain compliant with LOLER. Inspection frequency depends on use, with lifting people requiring more frequent checks. We cover cranes, forklifts and MEWPs.

These regulations are intended to protect employees and others who may be affected by workplace machinery and tools. They cover a broad range of equipment, including tools, vehicles and appliances. In line with Regulation 6, we conduct inspections at suitable intervals and following exceptional circumstances to support compliance.
