They were very warm and understanding to me as a student immigrating from Nigeria. I reached out to them and they got me an apartment opposite the university within the same day. During the duration of my tenancy they were warm and helpful. Even after the end of my student year they helped me settle down on such short notice I couldnt believe it! Special shout out to the team especially the warmest and fuzziest Lou! And shout out to Jolan as well he helped me move in to my apartment for free! They are a Godsend and truly are great people!

Had a viewing today with Mike, the director and both myself and my sister were very impressed with the friendly service we received. They were very accommodating, taking into account that my sister is a young professional. Mike was kind enough to drive us to the viewing himself and the property we saw was clean, very nicely decorated and spacious. The Bed. team are all very welcoming and we were given time to have a private discussion and to come to our own decision on whether we liked the property, there was no pushiness at all! On deciding we wanted the property we emailed and within minutes we had reserved the property and begun the simple application process. We are both really looking forward to moving into our new property in August 2024. Thank you to all of the team for making a very stressful time easy and pleasant! :)

Cant thank them enough for everything. I have lived with bed for 2 years now and about to go into my third year with them. I can say wholeheartedly they are the best student/post grad rental company in Chester, I have had zero issues in 2 years and I suspect that will continue for next year as well. All the staff are brilliant and friendly, and then theres the owner Mike who basically knows all the names of his tenants and gets involved with day to day business and making sure that all tenants are satisfied. I couldnt recommend bed enough.

Bed Student Rentals is genuinely, by far, the best letting agency. Mike and his team have made house searching and finding a place in Chester for me and my friends so much less stress-free. They really accommodated an enriching experience by providing us with an array of properties to rent, at such a good price too, that you really cant rumble to be honest. The office is so incredibly friendly because you can honestly tell everyone there truly want the best for you and ensure that you are getting the best deal out there, not just that but the team are so warm with you too that you can laugh and have a joke. Its far from the tense atmospheres that other agents may give off, you definitely feel more at ease there especially with the comfort of knowing that you and your needs are heavily considered at the heart of the company. Could never complain about any part of my experience, if there was a 10/5 stars, Id give it. Plus the free hoodies are a really comfortable too, so you could say great quality is a running theme within the company.

I rented a house through Mike at his previous company for my daughter, it was her first year at Uni and her first away from home, I was worried and concerned about her but Mike reassured me and my wife that he would look after her and true to his word he always did. He was always at the end of the phone and nothing was too much trouble, even when he moved to his new company he has always been helpful and supportive. Fantastic Service from BED. We have been letting our student house in Chester for eighteen years and have used seven agents, nearly all incompetent, rude or greedy and some all three. The eighth was BED Lettings, run by Mike Hannigan, proud to be a a reformed DJ, who is using his knowledge of students to satisfy both their housing needs and the needs of landlords. When I visited his office in Garden Lane, he introduced me to his staff (Jolan an unreformed DJ, Joe, Paula and Tori) and even his painter and decorator (Mike Middleton) and his cleaner (Paula), and we made an immediate connection.

Mike and I took the short walk to our house in Bouverie Street and on the way I was amazed to see him warmly greeted by several students and a PCSO. One Eastern European student insisted on hugging him, as she thanked him for having her heating fixed so quickly. When I looked surprised, she grinned and said Hes the best!

He viewed our house and evidently had some tenants in mind for soon afterwards he emailed me to say he had signed up four students. This was in December the previous agent had taken until April!

Mike Hannigan is obviously recognised as competent, approachable and sociable by the student tenants. Despite his DJ past, he strikes me as being honest and dependable, with his heart in his work, unusual qualities in a student letting agent.
