2023 update: We did this cruise again and saw Patrick again narrating. Amazing boat ride and still recommend!!
2021 original: Loved it !! Patrick was awesome, and we loved his humor. The views are incredible! We got to sit on top deck which we enjoyed very much. The lemonade and coffee cabinet were phenomenal. The young girl taking orders this evening was very nice.
9 minute walk from marriot / visitor center parking garage.
Highly recommended and we would do again.
** they followed covid guidelines well and I had no worries. Boat sanitized and every group spread out with limited capacity People just took off mask mostly during photo taking.

We just finished a sunset tour with the crew if the Gansett. Great experience! Dan was a terrific tour guide - he came up to the higher deck with us and entertained us. Kat was absolutely lovely and Kevin did a great job of steering the boat. The tour itself is the perfect length, and mixing fact with local details, very entertaining. We took my teenage daughter with us and she loved it. Especially all the sunset photos ops!! . Highly recommend this boat and tour!

This 90 minute cruise is more than worth it. It is an amazing trip through the bay almost to the Atlantic Ocean. The Tour Guide gives an incredible performance while you boat past historic places, historic boats, and some of the most amazing yachts you've ever seen. The education that you get, the service that you receive are second to none. I have taken my children on this cruise, I have taken my love on the cruise. It is definitely worth every penny and a showstopper if it's date night. This place is on top-5 day cruise in the United States status.

Walked down this morning just to check it out and find its location, but ended up taking the 11:30 tour! Most people were on top, so there was plenty of room in the back. Got my free orange juice (wish they had offered the lemonade). Was very informative and answered all questions asked. Very friendly and even did some joking. Made you feel very comfortable and relaxed. The cruise was just the right amount of time. Got to see what I believe they called the New York Yacht Club racing sailboats, which apparently was a rare experience. Very satisfied with the whole experience!

The tour, humorously and expertly narrated by Patrick, was a visual delight! Newport has some of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen. This is a wonderful way to both experience the beauty of Nature and to learn a lot of things about Newport. As part of the excursion, you're offered a complimentary glass of champagne and a RI "stuffie". I had a broken foot and wore a boot, but the boat and the ride were very comfortable. We highly recommend it!
