Founded in late 2007, Advanced Machinery Services has been formed by 2 previous directors of Wadkin. Originally based from the iconic former WADKIN LIMITED site in Green Lane Road Leicester, AMS have now relocated to Skeffington Mill in rural Leicestershire. AMS offers a total production solution from the supply of woodworking machines and equipment to a rapid response service and spares team.
With the PUWER 98 DC Braking compliance dates looming AMS decided to set up a dedicated team of high calibre electricians to help its customers meet the deadlines. Advanced Machinery Services has added three new machine lines to its already impressive portfolio of Wadkin Bursgreen woodworking machinery: wall saws, grinders and new models within their crosscut range.

Founded in late 2007, Advanced Machinery Services was created by Steve Foster and Stephen McGloin. They had previously been directors at Wadkin before deciding to go it alone and set up their very own specialist machinery and spare parts company.
Unfortunately, shortly after Steve and Stephen left Wadkin to start Advanced Machinery Services, the company that had previously employed hundreds of engineers and dealt with multiple distributors throughout the world, Wadkin, was forced to close.Having close ties to Wadkin, Advanced Machinery Services decided to buy the intellectual property rights to Wadkin's woodworking machinery.

All staff involved with using woodworking equipment in the workplace, MUST receive some form of woodworking machinery training by legal requirement. HSE state that this training "must be refreshed every 3 to 5 years".
