SweepSmart was formed in 2013 after founder Paul Solicari left his role as restaurant manager of his family's business in Soho. Paul's brother-in-law, a Suffolk based chimney sweep, had a bad fall from a roof he was working on and Paul volunteered to help out; a move that would set the wheels in motion for SweepSmart.
Paul decided that this was the career for him and worked through numerous qualifications within the chimney sweep industry. Paul started at the bottom and got his apprenticeship which would take him through the entire process and teachings of this time-old tradition, and also bring in some modern-day essentials that all chimney sweeps worth their salt need to know.
