Specialist biomechanical and foot orthotics clinic, also providing physiotherapy and massage therapy. Based in Glasgow's West End. I've been taking My Daughter to The Foot and Leg Clinic for just over 1 year having previously seen little results being treated through the NHS. Mhairi has been brilliant in diagnosing and treating her issues.
She is also wonderfully positive and encouraging, and explains the issues and treatments in a way my daughter can understand. The improvement over past 12 months has been huge. I would have no hesitation recommending The Foot and Leg Clinic. I have arthritis in my ankle and am waiting for an operation on it.

Report
Our clinic was founded in 2009 and a lot has changed since then. Mhairi initially set out to create a service where patients could visit for treatment of the foot, ankle, back and leg injuries by first understanding what their injury is.
The biomechanical assessment Mhairi created allowed patients to finally understand why they are overloading the injured area of their body before working to restore body balance and reduce stress to the injured tissue, thus allow the patient to recover and return to a better quality of life.

Biomechanical Assessment
Report
There are MANY "biomechanical assessments" advertised and many are not detailed or accurate. At The Foot and Leg Clinic only the specialist clinician performs this assessment. We have unparalleled experience with biomechanical assessments and work with top professional athletes around Scotland and provide the foot and ankle and biomechanics service to the Scottish Institute of Sport.
Foot & Ankle Assessment
Report
Patients come along to see us at the clinic for a Foot and Ankle Assessment when suffering from aches, pains or injuries of the foot, ankle or lower leg. The foot is made of 26 bones, many ligaments, cartilage and tendons. So there's lots to think about. We carry out assessment of the range of motion of the various joints of the foot and ankle, assess tendon function and highlight restrictions and over stressed tissue.
Gait Analysis
Report
Objectively evaluate and monitor joint functionality and muscle strength during rehabilitation phases and for training a certain area of the musculoskeletal system. Immediately delivers numerical values, helps prevent relapses, complications and regressions of the disease or post-accident condition by periodically checking the results obtained and the effectiveness of the treatments.
