Ballyclare Comrades | Community-Focused Football
Ballyclare Comrades was founded in 1919 by veterans of the First World War, establishing a legacy rooted in resilience and community spirit. Based in Ballyclare, County Antrim, the club competes in the NIFL Championship, Northern Ireland's second-tier football league. Our identity is symbolised by the red and white crest featuring the motto 'Nihil Nisi Optimi' ('Nothing except your best'), reflecting our commitment to excellence. The club operates with a democratic structure, with a committee elected annually by season ticket holders, ensuring the community remains central to our governance. We prioritise youth development through our Academy and engage supporters via initiatives like the Supporters Club, which funds club projects. Our home ground, Dixon Park, serves as a focal point for local fans and visiting supporters alike. With over a century of history, we continue to build on our heritage while nurturing future talent and fostering a deep connection with the Ballyclare community. Our Latin motto encapsulates our philosophy: striving for the highest standards in football and community engagement while maintaining transparency and accountability.

Good ground, great burger van and the bar across the road from the front entrance does a smashing pint of Guinness.

It has to be full marks for the local football club, the Ballyclare Comrades. I spent most of my teenage years in their footy ground "Dixon Park" watching them. Not a very large but loyal group of followers the BCFC has always had, win, loose, or draw!
