Services
Noise Risk Assessments
We conduct manned and unmanned noise and vibration surveys to support planning applications. Our assessments follow BS4142, BS8233, and local authority requirements, covering facade noise, background noise, and vibration impacts. This ensures compliance with environmental health and planning regulations while minimising noise nuisance for neighbouring properties.
Mechanical Services Noise Control
Our consultants assess noise from external and internal mechanical plant including chillers, air handling units, and ventilation systems. Using 3D CadnaA modelling, we specify mitigation measures like enclosures and acoustic barriers to meet design criteria. This ensures comfortable indoor environments and compliance with planning conditions for commercial developments.
Acoustic Architecture Design
We provide design advice on partition constructions, glazing specifications, and room acoustics. Using CATT Acoustic software, we model reverberation times and speech intelligibility to achieve optimal acoustic performance. Our solutions enhance privacy, reduce noise transmission, and ensure compliance with BREEAM and building regulations.
Acoustic Commissioning Testing
We perform sound insulation testing, reverberation time assessments, and noise level measurements to verify compliance with project specifications. Our UKAS-accredited processes confirm acoustic performance of partitions, mechanical services, and building fabric, ensuring developments meet required standards before handover.
Diagnostic Sound Testing
When noise issues arise, we conduct detailed diagnostic testing to identify sources and recommend mitigation. This includes measuring noise from building services and activity areas against regulatory criteria. Our solutions address non-compliant noise levels through targeted acoustic treatments and system adjustments.
