Select English was established in Cambridge 1991; today we are a small, family-run school committed to providing high quality, personalised teaching that helps our students achieve their learning goals. We treat all of our students as individuals and offer a friendly, stimulating, inclusive and supportive environment to help our students at every stage of their time with us.
Groups
Report
At Select English we've been welcoming groups to Cambridge for over a quarter of a century. Our tailor made group courses are available throughout the year, and courses can be as long or short as required. There is no minimum or maximum size for a group course - large and small groups are all equally welcome at Select English.
General & Intensive English
Report
You will meet students from all over the world and have the chance to socialise with them on the activities programme. You will have two different teachers so you can experience a range of accents and teaching styles. You will be given a written test, grammar and vocabulary test and short interview on your first day so we can accurately assess your level and place you in the right class.
IELTS Preparation

Select English have a long history of teaching IELTS to international students who plan to go onto further academic studies in the UK or who simply want to demonstrate their ability through the exam, which is an internationally recognised qualification. Students on our general English courses are able to choose the option of studying IELTS preparation classes during their afternoon classes.
OET Preparation
Report
The Occupational English Test is the English language test for healthcare professionals. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practise in an English-speaking environment. Select English are accredited by OET as providers of preparation programmes for the OET exam.

The best English learning ever had in my life! The teacher provides the best learning method, games. We had to move, observe, investigate and many more. And the more important was, all those things done with fun, and i love it very much! I enjoyed all of the school activities.
Again, the teachers are cool! The place is cozy! Facilities are great! The homestay where i stayed, is a great place too, and the neighbours are kind too. Want to be back there again someday.

It was one of the best experience that I ever had. English become very fun and applicable with all games that we had in the class, and I had no choice to communicate with my friends there beside in English :-)
And having those experience in Cambridge was another thing that make it more perfect, I loves the environment, I always enjoyed every time I walk from the residence to the school, a lot of parks to spend time with friends, environment that I don't have in my home country. I really hope someday I will have a chance to come back and study there again :-)
