In 1982 we built the first electric launch for hire on the Norfolk Broads leading to the development of our fleet. All of our boats are safety checked, insured and easy to use for all the family. Our boats are better for the environment than the traditional diesel engines, with less pollution, smell and vibration.
Peacefully cruise along the river in our quiet boats, with limited disturbance to the habitats and nature around you. We are based in Potter Heigham, tucked away from the busy Broads of Wroxham, but still a peaceful cruise along the river to picturesque places such as Hickling, Horsey and Barton Broad.

Phoenix Fleet is a family business established by racing yachtsman, Mick Richardson, in 1955. Sons, Robin and Patrick, are boatbuilders with over 35 years experience in wood and GRP construction of inland waterway craft. In 1982 we built the first electric launch for hire on the Norfolk Broads leading to the development of our fleet and to the Phoenix 21.

Plenty of traditional pubs, cafes and shops line the river bank with easily accessible mooring spaces to secure your boat. Alternatively, eat along the way by bringing a picnic! Our boat trips are safe and enjoyable for any age. We provide buoyancy aids for all ages and recommend river routes based on the members of your group so everybody enjoys their day.
