WGP PLUS LTD are a long established family business of local craftsmen and have over 125 years of experience in the manufacture of granite products. Having started as Memorial and Monumental Stone Masons we have expanded over the years and now include the manufacture of Granite and Quartz work surfaces for Kitchens and Bathrooms.
The Factory

WGP PLUS LTD is a family run business based over four generations, started in 1886. The current Directors are John A Hulme, (Snr) and two sons John W Hulme (Jnr) and Nick Hulme. The factory comprises of all the latest state of the art machinery, this includes two Bavelloni CNC workstations, two Colb Bridge Saws, and one Marmo Meccanica Edge Polished.

Granite is classified as an igneous rock, and is formed by the crystallisation of magma as it cools in the Earth's crust. The proportion and type of each mineral give granite its unique appearance. Different conditions and mineral ingredients at each quarry site mean that each area produces an individually patterned and coloured stone.
Quartz
Report
Quartz worktops are an extremely durable surface like granite. As they are a manufactured solid surface they have a uniformity and consistency of colour and pattern that you cannot achieve with granite which is prized for its natural beauty. Due to the fact that quartz worktops contain a small percentage of resin and that they are man-made, purer lighter colours can also be achieved.
