Rochford Veterinary Surgery has been the main veterinary practice in the town of Rochford in Essex since the 1930's. Originally a farm and equine practice, Rochford Vets now concentrate exclusively on domestic pets. The practice is a family owned business and since 1991 has been run by Mr & Mrs Jobson.
Previously a single vet practice we now have 4 veterinary surgeons on staff and 8 support staff. This gives us a breadth of experience to provide for all your pets needs and offer all the facilities you would expect to find in a modern veterinary practice. We have made a conscious choice to remain a smaller practice, which allows us to build continuity in care so that over your pet's lifetime we can build experience with them as an individual.

Your puppy or kitten can be vaccinated against the most serious infectious diseases from 9 weeks old onwards, the vaccines that we use need two doses, the second of which is given at 12 weeks. Some brands of vaccine in dogs can finish at 10 weeks and we are able to carry these out but believe that the vaccine protocol we normally use gives better long term immunity hence the 12 weeks finish.

We have consciously decided to restrict our expansion in terms of number of veterinary surgeons to enable us to give you more continuity of care in service. This does not however mean that we have restricted the services our vets and nurses are able to offer. The practice offers high quality vet facilities that include full diagnostic, imaging and surgical facilities on site and separate kennel areas for dogs and cats.

Our Staff

We now have 4 vets who work at the Rochford Veterinary Surgery, combined together they have about 60 years of experience between them. The vet practice has been owned since 1991 by Mr and Mrs Jobson. Mr Jobson qualified from the Edinburgh Vet School in 1988 and worked in Suffolk for 4 years before owning the present practice.
