Max absolutely loves his lessons and we are delighted to have finally found a hobby that he has really stuck at. It is fabulous seeing my slightly 'nerdy' child developing a really cool streak! The Musical Box listen to me, are very flexible and treat each child individually. Tuition is very much focused on what my children want to achieve, not just going through the motions or ticking boxes.
We firmly believe that music lessons can (and should) be fun! We encourage our students to learn songs that they love and want to learn. We'll break down the parts into bite sized chunks, along with any specific techniques needed. If we're working on a specific technique, we'll even suggest cool songs or parts that will help accelerate the learning process.

We're proud to say that we are one of the longest standing independent music schools in the country. Now in our sixteenth year we've come a long way since our humble beginnings with one room, one man and a drumkit! Now we have 13 teachers, two studios, 9 rooms and have taught well over 1200 students at our studnets.
Drums
Report
Our drum lessons are taught in our comfortable soundproofed studios and all drum studios have 2 kits, so that when you come to your lesson, you have a kit to yourself (no swapping around on drum stools). All lessons are one-to-one and parents of younger students are welcome to either sit in (bring ear plugs), relax in the waiting room or come back and collect at the end of the lesson.

Our piano and keyboard lessons are taught in our comfortable soundproofed studios, with a range of keyboards to play. All lessons are one-to-one and parents of younger students are welcome to either sit in (bring ear plugs), relax in the waiting room or come back and collect at the end of the lesson.
Workshops and Band sessions

We believe that playing in a band is an incredibly rewarding experience. It's a way of making life-long friends, experiencing the buzz of playing live, meeting new people and it's also a fantastic way of honing your playing skills. That's why we hold weekly band days and a variety of other workshops where players (young and old) can refine their muso "life skills".
Masterclasses

As an addition to lessons at TMB we offer informative and fun group Masterclasses. This is where a group of 5 or 6 students come to the studio for a 2 hour session with an experienced musician/ teacher. We aim to get everyone involved and have a blast showing you all the things that make music great and letting you have a go!
