From September onwards there are going to be brilliant dance classes for all ages and in all styles at the brand new studios in the Dover District Leisure Centre. Since 1998 literally thousands of children in East Kent have learnt to sing, dance and act in DAPA classes. We now have the second generation DAPA kids - where the parents attended when they were small.

I'm pleased to say that the school is stronger than ever. The standard of teaching and pupil achievement has never been higher, and the constant stream of new Jolly Tots is a testament to the fun we have, quality of the training and the hard work and dedication of the teachers. We offer dance classes for children aged 2 and over in a range of styles including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street Dance and Irish.

Testimonials
Report
Just had to message to say what a fantastic week Hannah has had doing Grease. She has absolutely loved every minute and come home full of excitement. I'm so grateful to all the teachers for giving them such a special week and an experience I'm sure she'll never forget. It is the first time Hannah has done a summer school so she was pretty nervous but they did a wonderful job of making her feel comfortable and pushing her out of her comfort zone.
Sarah Dean Principal
Report
Sarah Dean founded DAPA in 1998, and has personally overseen the school's development into one of the largest and most successful Performing Arts schools in the country. It is a remarkable achievement for a dance school to celebrate twenty years of existence, but even more amazing when one thinks of the thousands of children that have passed through the classes.
Our Courses
Report
We recognise that there is no typical DAPA student. Our courses have therefore been structured to appeal and inform everyone from those who are dancing for fun to those who are seriously ambitious and have set their sights on a career as a performer. DAPA children are taught by many people who have performed at the highest levels on the professional stage.
My First Dance Class
Report
MY FIRST DANCE CLASS is for children taking their first steps in dance, drama and singing. We use music and movement to give children confidence, to encourage their creativity, and aid their co-ordination. We teach through rhythm, musicality and imagination. The children in our classes learn to interact with other children, acquire good posture, develop their vocabulary, and improve their listening skills - they also have lots of fun!
Jolly Tots
Report
The youngest pupils are found in our Jolly Tots classes. From the age of 2 children can learn the fundamental steps in a fun environment before they continue their journey to our First Steps classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern. From this point onwards pupils have the opportunity to take exams at each level gaining qualifications, medals and awards.
