Motorcycles have always surrounded Royston from a very early age, when helping with the preparation of his brother's race machinery for such prestigious events as the Isle of Man TT and National short circuit events. Racing inevitably followed for Royston and over the next fifteen years Royston collected lap records, championships and represented Wales on several occasions as well as competing at the Isle of Man.
