New Lodge Veterinary Centre
I left to gain more experience and worked as a locum veterinary surgeon everywhere for North Yorkshire to Guernsey. I set up New Lodge Veterinary Centre in 2005, with the intention of providing an excellent standard of client and patient care. I enjoy most aspects of veterinary life and so do not have a particular special interest.

When I am not being a vet, I have several hobbies. I like gardening, reading, and riding my horse "Babe" but my most exciting hobby is motor racing. I race a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger called "Lilly". Our best result was a race win by a lap in the pouring rain. We race all across the UK in classic car racing series.
Services
Services
Report
We are happy and able to give general advice both in person and over the telephone, but may suggest that your pet may need a detailed consultation including physical examination with our vet to try to help resolve any problems they may have. Registered Clients whose pets have been examined by us in the last year may collect wormers, food, flea and tick treatments, and other sundries without bringing in their pets.
Appointments
Report
We use an appointment system to try to ensure that our consultations run on time, keep waiting times to a minimum, and to help prioritize cases that need to be seen urgently. We can generally find a slot in our appointments to suit your needs. Our consultations are normally of15 minute's duration, longer than some other vets.
Operations
Report
Routine elective surgeries, diagnostic radiographs, ultrasound examinations and dynamic blood tests are carried out between 10.30am and 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Obviously some pet operations are not routine and take place out of normal surgery hours. Patients are normally admitted by one of our nurses in the morning between 8.30 and 9.30am.
Vaccinations
Report
As responsible pet owners, we know you would like to ensure that your pet is vaccinated against preventable diseases. Both cats and dogs can catch diseases which may in the worst cases be fatal even with supportive therapy. The benefits of vaccination and its complementary health check far outweigh the potential costs and consequences of any disease that may be preventable.
Pet Passports
Report
We are able to prepare your pet for a Pet Passport including insertion of microchip, vaccinations, blood testing (if required), and worming treatment as required by the country of entry and then issue a Pet Passport. This is required, for entry to and return home from countries that are included in the Pet Passport Scheme.
