Established in 1934 by William J Wilkinson, the company has evolved into a progressive, forward thinking group of practices under the stewardship of the Wilkinson family and partner David Jobling. The group is now under the helm of Jamie and Ayshah Edney. Recently the team developed the group and engineered the move towards a studio/boutique concept, focusing on eyewear not just eyecare.

We are able to carry out all the tasks of an ordinary optician. We offer standard and enhanced NHS and private eye examinations, contact lens assessments and aftercare, dry eye clinics and optical coherence tomography. Also, specialist school vision and sports vision practitioners are available for consultations on request.

Our studios offer a boutique eyewear experience where we offer our sought after styling service. This enables us to support smaller, independent manufacturers and artisan producers. This means we are able to offer more creative and innovative designs, combined with more control over manufacturing and quality.
