David only really got into fishing when taking over the Three Ponds in 2000 but since then his passion has only grown. Now he takes pride in his work at the lake, in the shop and in the running of the BCAC. Emily, although a non fisherman herself, has an extensive knowledge from growing up surrounded by the sport.
The Shop

The tackle shop started as a mere couple of shelves in the office of our holiday park, it catered for the needs of a few of our fishing holiday makers and the occasional day ticket fisherman who may have run out of hooks or a bit of bait. In about 2010 we decided to make it into a shop of its own and be opened The Bait Bucket!
Three Ponds

The Bait Bucket Tackle Shop was originally situated at Three Ponds Holiday Park & Fisheries before we moved to larger premises. As the name suggests the holiday park boast three fishing lakes, two of which are available to the public through yearly membership. Oak Pond is about 1.5 acres and runs to a depth of 9 feet in parts, each of its 16 pegs has features to fish to whether its the reed bank, over hanging trees or the gravel bar.
