We only use the finest English willow for the production of our cricket bats. The cultivated timber is grown throughout Kent and Essex. Each tree is planted by hand and is tended to by the grower to ensure that the tree will be suitable for bat making. We have planted over 300 willow trees at our workshop in Kent.

Every Hell4leather bat is individually handmade by founder and master bat maker Matt Barton from only the highest grades of hand selected English willow. We don't just stock bats and as orders come in ship out the closest match. Every bat is created to your exact specification and we work with you to try and create your perfect bat.
Custom Bat Day
Report
You will be updated throughout the bat makinig process from selecting the cleft to the finishing touches. Photos will be sent by email and regular contact with Matt will be made throughout. These are the premium pick of our lightest/best looking Grade 1 English Willow (the willow we put aside for the pros!).
Refubs & Repairs
Report
Full Clean up includes sanding, fixing any splits or cracks, re-label (Hell4Leather bats only), re-grip. Full Rehandle includes replace broken handle, fix cracks or splits, Full resand, new labels(H4L Bats only). The price does not include the costs involved in getting the bats to us.
