PQA is a weekend performing arts Academy providing tuition for children and young people from 4-18 years. Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour-long sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist expert teachers.

Our Comedy & Drama lessons provide our students with the knowledge of theatrical forms and. Pauline discovered acting at the age of 9 when a couple of after-school clubs were formed by local teachers. One was Country Dancing, the other was a Drama club. Not fancying Country Dancing, Pauline joined the Drama Club and has not stopped entertaining the nation since.

Our Story
Report
Pauline and her husband Steve opened their first Academy when they couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes for their son, Charlie. They wanted to be able to provide performing arts tuition that was enjoyable, fun and would build children's confidence.

More importantly, they wanted to help young people to pursue their life's dreams, whatever those dreams may be, using drama to help children realise their potential and blossom into confident young people. To Pauline and Steve, the performing arts is more than just singing and acting and they wanted to reflect that at PQA.

West End Shows
Report
Imagine the thrill and buzz of performing on stage at a top West End Theatre! We give our students the once in a lifetime opportunity to do just that by performing in a musical especially written for PQA, presented at the Shaftesbury Theatre in the heart of London's West End!

In this professionally produced production, our students get to experience everything a West End theatre has to offer, from stage door, to the dressing rooms and, of course, performing on stage!Students rehearse at their local Academies in the months leading up to the show date, learning their lines, lyrics and chorography - everything that is involved in putting on a West End show!
