Kennels

At Chetwynd Firs we pride ourselves on the care we give; we have animal care qualifications and can administer medication at no extra charge. Nervous dogs can be boarded away from more boisterous ones and you can drop your dog off or collect any time during our opening hours. We also offer Doggy Day Care, baths, and doggy socialisation activities.
Luxury Kennels

The courtyard comprises of just 16 luxury units; each fully insulated and generously sized. Each unit has 24 hour heating with its own thermostatically controlled heater and double glazed doors and windows to keep your dog cosy in the winter yet cool in the summer. Music is played during the day to create a calm, relaxing environment and each unit has cosy bedding and its own holiday hammock!
Cattery

Set in idyllic surroundings in our beautiful parkland garden, our cattery is surrounded by woodland and next to a large pond which is visited by lots of wildlife, including pheasants, herons and rabbits. Plenty to keep your cat fascinated! The units are spacious and light with 24-hour access to an outside exercise area.
Pet Food

We sell a range of dog and cat food, treats and accessories which can be delivered locally or collected from our shop and we offer a discount off Arden Grange food to all boarding customers. We have fed Arden Grange to our own pets, including Rusty who has a very sensitive stomach, since they were little and are proud to be an official stockist (www.ardengrange.com).

Always take my dog here. Staff are amazing - so kind and patient cause my boy is a dramatic stress-head for the first hour with them. Play sessions are worth every penny & it's wonderful to see the photos, they're a real comfort. Food is good too, no upset tummies ever. Val and her team really do go the extra mile to make his stay as happy and comfortable as possible. Can't thank them enough.

Booked the playpen for my 15 week old puppy so he could have a good sniff and a play without having to worry about other dogs & he really enjoyed himself! He’s a proper sniffer dog and lost interest after about 20 mins but the lovely ladies allowed us to have a sniff around the woodland walk too - he absolutely loved this & they made a huge fuss of him which was nice to get him used to people. Thank you so much!

Barney spent his first day at Doggy Day Care yesterday, judging by the fab pics and video he had a ball playing and socialising with the other dogs. He came home a very happy, very tired doggy, and its not easy to tire out a 1 year old Labradoodle!! All the staff were very friendly and brilliant with Barney. Will definitely be booking again for Day Care and the fabulous Play Pen sessions, thank you all for your care and fabulous facilities.

Our two high energy dogs had a wonderful first visit last week, we have already booked to go back! It is a fantastic facility, plenty of space to run, totally secure, with lots of things to explore. As well as the equipment there is a box of toys which our one dog had great find sorting through and selecting his favourites. The attention to detail is great, even poo bags and gravy bones! Not to mention the friendly welcome and goodbye. Cant wait to take them again.

Honestly I can’t recommend this place enough. We have 3 very energetic dogs who don’t get on very well with other dogs so we can’t let them off the lead to have a good run around when on their daily walks so being able to hire the play pen is incredible. It allows them to let loose and sprint around. They are so friendly and helpful. They are very covid safe and go above and beyond every time. Definitely worth trying, you won’t be disappointed.

After seeing a review from a so called ex member of staff, I would like to add my own review of my experience from working at Chetwynd Firs.
The kennels and cattery are kept spotless at all times. The cleaning solutions that are used are all animal safe.
ALL members of staff deeply care about every single one of the dogs and cats that stay here and they go above and beyond to make sure that they are happy and safe making sure that their welfare comes above anything.

I must say how wonderful the staff are at Chetwynd firs. My husky blu stayed here for a month she was treated as usual with loving care and extra fuss 😊. The staff are reassuring and very kind I got regular photos of blu in the play area having the time of her life. After using Chetwynd firs now for two years I always know blu will be looked after well. She always receives the best welcome. I want to say thank you so much to all of you 😊
