Catherine Hills Jewellery

I'm Catherine and I'm an award-winning British jewellery designer and maker with a shop and jewellery atelier in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. With the help of my assistant, Rolo, an Airedale Terrier, I create contemporary ready-to-wear jewellery inspired by nature, found objects, collectables and symbolism.

There's something incredibly special about creating a completely unique engagement ring - a ring that feels personal to the wearer and 'just right'. I've been designing and making jewellery for more than twenty years and clients come to me to create bespoke engagement rings because they want something individual and unique - an engagement ring that has been crafted by hand and made in the UK.

Do you have old pieces of jewellery that you no longer wear tucked away? Or perhaps you have a family heirloom that has sentimental value but is the wrong size or not your style? Or do you have jewellery that was once loved but is now broken or that you'd like to have made into something new?

I really enjoy giving vintage and neglected pieces of jewellery a new life by giving an old piece a contemporary twist or reusing gemstones and recycling metal to create something new.I'm finding that jewellery remodelling and upcycling is increasingly popular with my clients for sentimental, environmental and economic reasons.

It is located behind the Duke of York Public House and next to the Fairfax Gallery. The Pantiles with its many buildings dating from the 18th and 19th Century is an attractive and stylish part of Tunbridge Wells. It is the home to a variety of independent specialist shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants.

My daughter commissioned some olive leaf earrings from Catherine for a rather significant birthday of mine. They are ABSOLUTELY beautiful and I'm so impressed with the attention to detail and how perfectly they form around my ears. Thank you so much Catherine for making them so perfectly 'me' the mum in NZ.
