Our Ofsted Outstanding rated setting in Tattenhall is based on the main high street of this beautiful rural village. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a healthy and magical place for children to learn and grow. Based in Cholmondeley next to the Cholmondeley Estate Farm shop, this rural setting offers excellent outside space for nursery and preschool children to play and learn.
We follow the EYFS framework and believe in the Reggio Emilia approach with a keen focus on natural resources and time outdoors for both nursery and preschool children. We think children should enjoy being little, should learn elements of freedom and be as happy as can be!

At Sandy Bears we are registered and regulated by Ofsted meaning we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework throughout all of our rooms and practice. This is a set guideline of milestones within general age rages (for example 16-26 months) that allow key workers to monitor children's progress and development and to effectively plan to ensure your child's progression.
Our Pre-school

All our staff at Sandy Bears are passionate about children's happiness and engagement in all aspects of their life. Whilst behaviour and respect for their surroundings, peers and adults are important, it is also our goal that children become active in their learning and passionate to discover in their surroundings.
Holiday & After School

Breakfast club consists of breakfast between 8-8.45 (early starts available), we have a variety of cereals, fruit and continental options available and also more if requested. The children are either walked to school by a familiar member of the staff team who are fully first aid trained. They are then dropped off at their individual classrooms.

We are proud to be a sugar free setting (aside from the occasional sweet baking activities!) Meals will be served in the consistency appropriate to the personal age/stage of your child, this will be discussed regularly with yourselves. We offer a healthy balanced freshly cooked lunch. Options include Thai vegetable curry and rice with a fruit yogurt and cottage pie & vegetables with fairy cake & raisins.

Sandy bears has a beautiful setting, has the added bonus of the forest garden and a fabulous outdoor play area. On top of all that my son absolutely loves it there and has made so much development in all areas. They use an app that's updated throughout the day which really helped me as a parent to transition.
