S.J. Lynch Pianos

Established over 35 years ago, S.J. Lynch Pianos has built a reputation for excellence in piano tuning and repair services across Edinburgh, East Lothian, and surrounding areas. Our founder, Steve Lynch, qualified in piano servicing and musical technology in 1982 and gained extensive experience working with Scotland's leading piano workshops before establishing this business. We prioritise a personal and dependable approach, offering reconditioned pianos, comprehensive repairs, and meticulous tuning services tailored to individual client needs. Our work spans private customers, educational institutions, concert venues, and professional musicians, with a commitment to using genuine parts and guaranteeing all workmanship. With 35 years of dedicated service, we maintain all tuning and servicing work personally, ensuring the highest standards of care for every piano.

Our expertise extends to pitch raising, technical adjustments, and full restorations, preserving instruments for optimal performance. Trusted by Edinburgh University, St Mary's Music School, and Edinburgh Academy, we combine technical precision with a deep understanding of musical requirements. Our clients benefit from impartial advice, flexible scheduling for tunings, and emergency support when needed. Professional transport is included for workshop repairs, and we specialise in restoring prestigious brands like Steinway & Sons and Bosendorfer. This enduring commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has solidified our position as Edinburgh's most respected local piano specialist.
