The Children's Bookshop, Muswell Hill is an independent family-owned children's bookshop which first opened in 1974. Stocking a huge range of fiction and non-fiction, our staff are always on hand to offer specialist advice on choosing books for children. We also offer a comprehensive service to schools and teachers, including school library supply, book fairs, author visits and open evenings.

We set up a number of in-school author events in direct collaboration with individual schools. Recent highlights have included school events with Michael Rosen, Anne Fine, Jane Ray, Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell, John Boyne, Lauren St John, Liz Pichon, Polly Dunbar and Hannah Shaw, to name but a few.

We work with schools to supply orders, curate libraries, bring book fairs and organise author events. If you would like to discuss any of the below, please email us at admin@childrensbookshoplondon.co.uk. We welcome teachers, librarians and lecturers at any time and - with prior notice - can open in an evening to allow a group to browse and purchase in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

We now stock Tonies! Toniebox and Tonies offer endless interactive listening and playing fun without bright screens or complicated controls. Children can listen, learn, sing-a-long and dance to their favourite stories, songs and characters all by themselves! The Toniebox is soft enough to cuddle and tough enough to handle hands-on kids.
