We are the owners of Whitestrand Boat Hire, a business that has been operating in Salcombe for over three decades. We moved to Salcombe from London in 2015 and we bought the business in 2016. We absolutely love being on the water every day, our commute is short, the view from our office is beautiful and our customers are all having fun.

We pride ourselves on offering a very professional service, but we also like to make sure its friendly and fun too. With some government restrictions likely to still be in place, we are going to have to play more toward the professional and perhaps less on the fun again this year, but we will make it as easy as possible.

Very popular by boat at high tide only is the Millbrook Inn. Sail up the Southpool channel, moor up and walk five minutes to a beautiful little pub for lunch, dinner or just evening drinks. You can also enjoy a delicious BBQ in the summer. When booking boat hire, please tell us if this is part of your plan so we can advise on timings.

Ensure that I correctly wear a life jacket as instructed at all times during the hire period and I must make sure that any passengers do the same. Only operate the boat in a suitable environment, in a proper manner, and in accordance with any instructions provided to me. Obey instructions limiting the area and time in which I can operate the boat during adverse weather.
