The place is in a country lane, a bit swampy and muddy when it rains. It caters mostly for kids and teenagers, the staff are nice & helpful

We purchased a gift voucher for a 40-worth hack. When we repeatedly called in to book, their lines were too busy and we failed to get through to anyone. When we finally did manage to get through, they informed us that they don't have any availability for the dates we suggested. We then asked for a refund because we were moving homes and wouldn't come back to London in a week or two just to go riding, they advised us that they're charging us 10 for admin fees, in addition to the time we spent, and will spend on filling a refund application that they requested in order to process our refund.

Honestly cannot recommend kingsmead enough. I rode for years at competition level when I was younger, and whilst I loved riding more than anything, as the only chubby kid in pony club it wasnt always the nicest experience. I missed horses so much (its been almost 20 years!) but was nervous about going back, and i couldnt find anywhere closer to me in north east London that didnt have rider weight limits - Im a good 3 stone above the limit for most places. Kingsmead are so welcoming and inclusive , offering assessment lessons to heavier riders (and a selection of horses that can comfortably

My husband and I had a trial hack as our 1st time here. Fiona took us out on Tomtom and Bilbao. We really enjoyed it, Fiona told us about our horses before we left and talked us through the ride, checking we were ok. Horses were responsive but very safe, cant wait to go back

Our first visit to Kingsmead & my husbands very first horse riding lesson! We were made very welcome by staff, my husband who has never ridden before felt very assured and encouraged by his instructor, thank you also to the lovely staff member who assisted me and my guide dog to the school to watch my husband during his lesson and who also came back to guide me back to the yard! 🙏 x

Really friendly and professional place, really recommend riding here. They always tell you a bit about you to each horse you ride so you know what to expect. Only negative is that as it's so popular it can be tricky getting private lessons!

Booked a couple of rides with a friend. The horses are quite old and tired. My horse would almost sleep mid ride and was very jumpy at times (whenever hearing sounds from the woods). Not ideal for paying customers.
