Our vibrant riding school is set in beautiful Surrey countryside yet is only a few miles from London. We have three riding arenas and miles of hacking straight from the yard. You can opt for a one off riding experience (suitable for complete beginners) or ride several times a week. Whatever you decide to do you will enjoy a welcoming environment, friendly staff and happy horses.

Here at Kingsmead we offer a combination of natural and traditional horsemanship to give every rider an understanding of the horses as we believe a good relationship and clear communication between horse and rider is the key to success. We offer private, semi-private and group lessons, lead reins along a bridlepath or hacking straight from the yard.
Our human team

Fiona has owned and worked with horses most of her life. She is a natural horseman who has a deep understanding of horses and how they think! Fiona is a level 2 coach and equine assisted facilitator. Feel free to ask Fiona more about the horses or how to develop your horsemanship skills, especially on the ground.
Where our horses come from
Report
Our horses are hand picked by us from a variety of sources. We like to pick horses who will fit in with the riding school as workers but also as individual characters, and members of our herds. Our priority is to find a horse who has a kind eye and would be a willing partner; we are happy to work on their riding!

I came to Kingsmead at the end of 2012 following a serious accident, it was suggested that riding would be good rehab for me to get my strength back. After a few weeks, I started riding the adorable Turbo - and what a friendship it turned out to be. He gave me confidence, affection, trust and the opportunity to do something I thought almost impossible at one stage.

We offer off peak* riding and group riding which can help keep costs lower, we also have regular clubs, riding experiences and woodland rides at very reasonable prices. Please help us to keep costs down by remembering to call us early should you need to cancel. Gift vouchers available for any equestrian activity these make ideal presents for all ages.
