Gough & Davy was established as a Piano retailer in 1860 and soon became a market leader in providing the latest musical instruments and music at the time. In 2007 The company was relocated in new premises 'Under the City Hall' and is now owned and managed by Hull's own Alan Kilvington who first joined 'Goughs' as a sales assistant in 1995.
Al 'Kilvo' is an Americana piano player from Hull, Yorkshire England who plays with a style and verve described as that of the Killer - Jerry Lee Lewis - himself. Al continued to hone his skills in the musical style of Jerry Lee Lewis and in 2013 was invited to record with Hull's Johnny Pat in Sun Studios in Memphis TN with Kenny Lovelace and Robert Hall of Jerry Lee's band.

We offer a piano hire service for any event. With a team of specialist piano transportation. We guarantee to give you a smooth and easy process so you can concentrate more on enjoying the event. All Instruments hired will be in full playing order and can be tuned on arrival if requested. Lewis teaches all styles of guitar but specialises in gypsy jazz, blues and acoustic fingerstyle.

Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the type of products ordered, the service you select and the delivery address. Small items will be sent via Royal Mail; larger items will be sent via courier. All delivery costs will be calculated at checkout. Local delivery (Hull and Surrounding Area) of large items such as Pianos, Digital Pianos are arranged and carried out by our personal specialist transport team.

We offer one to one and online music lessons for piano, guitar and also have a list local teachers teaching many different instruments and skills. Online guitar lessons with our guitar specialist Lewis Kilvington. Lewis is a very versatile and passionate teacher who teachers all styles, abilities and ages.
