Skyline Studios was set up in 1994 by producer/engineer Jez Larder who has worked on tracks by David Bowie, Simply Red, Estelle and more recently One Eskimo, Amy Macdonald and The Damned. With over 25 years of music industry experience coupled with our excellent equipment we can get you that sound you crave and need for your recordings.
Don't settle for anything other than top quailty recordings. The studios can cater for anything from a simple acoustic recording to bands with live drums. As well as the traditional studio based mixing and mastering sessions with the client present we also offer what is called "offline" mixing and mastering.

I've done the majority of my recordings at Skyline simply because it's a lovely relaxed, creative space with a great sound. Jez is one of the most hard working and dedicated people I know in the music industry. He's also very easy to work with and full of ideas which is good at 10 in the morning!

Turn up, set up, record. Great for live recordings for demos or laying down the start of a full production, you'll achieve more in a day here than you would anywhere else. Evening sessions on Fridays and Saturdays 6pm-11pm @ 180 or 3hrs @ 105. Everything from one-off single releases to full on 12+ track albums, we're ready to record your music and bring your ideas to life.

Anna Neale is a multi-talented singer/songwriter, composer, studio engineer, producer, session vocalist, voice over artist and lecturer in music.

I wouldn't want to record anywhere else, with anyone else. Ive worked with Jez as far back as about 15 years, and every time he has put 100% into each session.
The studio has pretty much everything you need to make a great sounding record. Also i like that the location gives the session a certain 'realness' that you don't get in a plush high end studio, and not to mention the very reasonable rates for either a half or full day.

Jez Larder mixed my album HONEYTRAP at Skyline Studios with incredible speed and efficiency. With his technical wizardry and sensitive production ears he made songs that were essentially recorded in my spare room sound really impressive. He was never flapped by my incessant flow of “creative demands” and did everything he could to realise the sounds in my head to make a final product which I’ll always be very proud of.
