Our guitar lessons cater to all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Professional instructors provide tailored tuition covering electric, acoustic and classical guitar techniques. What lesson times are available?
Lessons run Monday-Friday 12-9pm and Saturdays 9am-2pm at our Cosham and Southsea locations.
Do you offer school music programmes?
Yes, we provide peripatetic teachers and workshops for junior and secondary schools across Hampshire.
Can I borrow instruments?
Drum kits and pianos are provided. Guitar students are encouraged to bring their own instrument, though limited loan options exist.
Are exams compulsory?
No, while we support Rockschool, Trinity and ABRSM exams, lessons are tailored to individual goals.
What performance opportunities exist?
Students participate in annual concerts, jam nights, band workshops and recitals with recent events featuring 80+ performers.
How often should I practise?
We recommend minimum 20-30 minutes, 3 times weekly, with regular practice being key to progression.

Love PMA. Been going for nearly 2 years learning the drums with Gill. They've got a few studios in the downstairs of what I think is an old bank. Parking around there is fairly easy. There's a waiting room and a reception where you can talk to someone in the know. There's music equipment you can use and the tuition is good. During lockdown, we moved to online classes (on Skype) , which worked OK and were for a reduced rate.
Overall, if you're looking to learn a musical instrument, would recommend.

Friendly staff and good teachers. Drum practice rooms could do with sprucing up a bit but that doesn't affect the quality of the teaching.
