Welcome to Northampton's leading centre for Dance classes, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Acrobatics and Martial Arts; with classes for all ages and abilities. Dexterity Dance School was founded 11 years ago by Estha Jones, Northampton born and bred international rhythmic gymnast and dancer.
Estha is an exceptional visionary, and with Dexterity has built a place where children shine through dance, circus and gymnastics with many performances throughout the year at our own in-house theatre.Uniquely Estha produces 2 annual whole school shows for the children to perform in: Dexmas Technical Demonstration in the winter and of course the epic end of year Summer Showcases at The Castle Theatre.

Studio Tour

Our studios are in renovated Great Houghton Hall, near Northampton, set it its own grounds with plenty of free parking. As well as our studios, we have areas for students to relax and socialise between classes including a common room with comfortable seating and a kitchen where students can make food and drinks.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Dexterity Summer Show, of course watching my daughter's 3 performances but also all the other dances especially the older boys wow incredible. The costumes, song choices and back drops amazing. Firstly my congratulations on yet another amazing show.
Being a parent, I have seen a few different shows where it seems the kids are on stage under duress, sometimes like rabbits in headlights, and sometimes with a forced smile on their faces, though they get their bits done and it's quite nice.It always amazes me that Dexterity isn't like that at all and every single child on that stage looks like they are having the absolute best time of their life.

Contemporary Dance Fusion

Contemporary Dance is the most popular and successful dance style at Dexterity. CDF is an evolutionary dance style that changes with fashions and trends, although training remains classical Contemporary. Estha's unique training will teach classical Contemporary techniques such as Humphrey, Graham, Cunningham and Release combined with floor and contact work.
