Introduction
Report
Cotswold Bowls Club celebrates its 50th. Anniversary in 2018. We have come a long way over the years and can now boast one of the best Bowls facilities in Gloucestershire. We are proud to open our doors to prospective members of all ages, abilities and agilities - from juniors to grandparents, from beginners to national level players.
Club History
Report
The game of bowls goes back many centuries and was once known as 'The Game of Kings'. It got that title as a result of a Royal Decree in 1319 by King Charles IV, prohibiting the game from being played by commoners, as archery, essential to the defence of the country, was being neglected. From that point on the game was restricted to Kings and Noblemen only.
