Sadly, when buying a house, the most overlooked area is the drains. The cost of replacing broken, damaged, pitch fibre or poorly laid drains can run into thousands. A pre purchase drain survey is inexpensive and can alert you and even assist in negotiating in the purchase price. If you are suffering from vermin infestation, the most common access for these little critters are through the drainage system.

We check the drains from below the ground and offer a complete service with a detailed report and footage via email. This is not a service we like to offer, but we do know that rats are not respectors of people, they will invade any drains that are not in use and take up residence in your home. They are a nuicance and we know the stress that noise can make in the middle of the night.

If no conventional access is available, extra charges will apply due to time taken to clear the drain. If pipes are damaged or an obstruction that is not deemed part of a normal blockage, i.e. rods stuck in drain, solid obstruction that is not found in a drain, toys, or any object that is not normally found in drains and clearance is/ is not possible, an extra charge will be made for time spent working on your drain.

Whatever the reason or problem with your clogged drain, Kernow Drains have 17 years experience in dealing with blockages. Drain clearances are generally straight forward and majority of clogged drains can be dealt with using drain rods. More stubborn clearances might require high pressure jetting, this is a last resort as the pressure of the water is fierce and can damage drains.
