Twsc
You can come down and see what we have to offer, meet some of the other members and have a set or two behind the boat before deciding if you'd like to join us. Perhaps buy gift tokens? We have boats and drivers available every Saturday morning exclusively for visitors so if you want to arrange a large or small group to waterski and wakeboard then you can do so at TWSC.

We offer private boat membership schemes that are very affordable and allow you to use your own boat on the TWSC lake without pre-booking time slots months in advance like other clubs. With the 2021 season now underway, TWSC is operating in accordance with advice from Government and BWSWF. An updated response will be issued whenever new recommendations are published by these authorities.

Club information & opening times
Report
Theale Water Sports Club (TWSC) is a waterski and wakeboard club that was founded in 1966. We are a voluntary, non profit making club owned and run by our members. We have a beautiful lake just north of the M4 between junction 11 and junction 12 since 1981. The lake is surrounded by trees which means there's usually flat water to be found.
Directions to TWSC
Report
If using M4, exit at J12. Follow the A4 towards Reading passing Aldi on your right until you arrive at traffic lights at The George and Dragon. Turn right at these lights into Burghfield Road. Follow this road over the traffic signalled humped bridge after which is the Cunning Man pub (on the right).
Book a Group – Saturday Mornings
Report
Saturday morning 'Block Bookings' are your chance to book some time for you and a group to come and learn together. Saturday mornings from May through to September are allocated exclusively to 'block bookings'. We can cater for groups of between four and ten per boat for the four hour session! Generally groups of eight to ten work very well though.

We now have coloured gift tickets available for you to buy for your loved ones at 22/tow including instruction, wetsuit and equipment, or 3 for 55. Wakeboarding facilities at TWSC have been recently upgraded. Both boats are fitted with a monster tower and a Malibu blade/wedge which, when lowered, brings the rear hull lower into the water forming a higher wake.
Membership and Tow Prices
Report
TWSC operates a ticket system. Each ticket entitles the holder to one boat tow. A tow is a minimum of ten 10 minutes equating to about three laps around our large lake (if you don't fall too often!). Tickets do not expire (excepting pre-paid block bookings) so you can buy tickets well in advance of using them.
