The letters CE stand for "Conformit Europenne" which means "European Conformity". It is a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the relevant standards which are recognised across Europe, these are referred to as harmonised European standards (hEN) or European Technical Assessment (ETA).

For the last couple of days Mark Fox and Andrew Hawkins have had the pleasure of attending Infra Oman 2014 - the fourth edition of the event in Muscat. The Sultanate of Oman is continuing to move ahead and is rapidly developing major infrastructure projects across the country.

Salim Omar al Hashmi, Chairman of Al Nimr Expo revealed, "Infra Oman has grown significantly since its debut in 2011, thus establishing itself as the Middle East's leading infrastructure and industrial projects exhibition."The event itself has been inaugurated by Eng Mohsin bin Mohammed al Shaikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality.

The type of kit utilised is dependent on the environment, atmosphere and piping requirements for either indoor or outdoor applications.

As Engineer Merchants specialising in tools and fasteners for the engineering, construction and pipeline water industries we've decided to take the plunge! The IWEX (The International Water and Effluent Exhibition) was a last minute decision and one we are really looking forward to.it's our first major public demonstration and we're quite excited, albeit with a little trepidation!
